Kickstarters Gascoyne Dash is an event held between Carnarvon and Gascoyne Junction, held over the Easter long weekend.
day 1: Thursday 1 April 2021
Once you have arrived into Carnarvon, settled into your accommodation of choice, we recommend heading down to the Fascine, opposite the Gascoyne Hotel. Punters are welcome to come down and check out the action, with registrations & bike examination taking place from 1pm and a static Car, Buggy and Bike display from 3pm until 5pm.
Families can enjoy the nearby playground for the kids, or sit back and watch the action, meet the competitors and browse the rigs competing from the Gascoyne Hotel. Drink and dinner specials on offer.
While you are here: We recommend checking out the Carnarvon Space and Technology Museum, you can enjoy the Space displays.Take a 360 view of the town from the OTC Dish lookout, where you can scout out the Prologue from the new Gascoyne Off Road Racing Club home base.

day 2: FRIDAY 2 APRIL 2021
The action official kicks off on Friday 2 April from the new Gascoyne Off Road Racing Club home base, located on the North West Coastal Highway, travelling south towards Geraldton, follow the signs.
Registrations and scrutineering kicks off from 8am, with prologue and recon from 9.45am. An individual time trial will take place, so competitors can get their starting position. This new and exciting location makes this a spectator sport, filled with lots of action. Get yourself some breakfast and coffee from local vendors, find yourself the best spot to park up, sit back and watch all the action.
Competitors and spectators head home for the evening. A number of dining options will be available on Good Friday. Please check back soon for more information.

DAY 3: SATURDAY 3 APRIL 2021
Competitors of the Coral Coast Helicopters Kickstarters Gascoyne Dash will be ready for their first day of racing. Leaving the Gascoyne Off Road Racing Club home base from 8am and racing through some of the toughest terrain before reaching Gascoyne Junction. Spectators should hit the road and travel 160km east towards Gascoyne Junction, on sealed road to catch the first lot of motorbikes and cars to arrive, just behind the Gascoyne Junction Tourist Park.
Free camping is available for all spectators and competitors on the Gascoyne Junction oval, spectators are required to click here to reserve their spot. Join the atmosphere at the Gascoyne Junction Tourist Park and Pub from 6pm. You'll enjoy live music from local bank Black Jack's, everyone is welcome. Meals and drinks available for purchase on the evening.

DAY 4: SUNDAY 4 APRIL 2021
After a big day of racing, camping and great live music, it's time to head back into Carnarvon. An early morning start to watch the bikes, buggies and cars position themselves before departing from behind the Gascoyne Junction Tourist Park from 8am, as they race back through the tough terrain before returning back to the Gascoyne Off Road Racing Club home base in Carnarvon.
Extending your stay? If you have some extra time to explore the Gascoyne hinterland region, we recommend making the trip into the Kennedy Range National Park, enjoy several walk trails that take visitors through particularly scenic sections of the national park. Camping is available at the base of the National Park and is located 60km from Gascoyne Junction on an unsealed road. It is recommended you check road conditions with the Shire of Upper Gascoyne before departing.
Spectators are welcome to return to Carnarvon and be part of the Presentations at the Woolshed, at the Carnarvon Civic Centre. Tickets must be pre-purchased here. A chance to mingle with competitors and congratulate them for completing Australia's toughest desert race, don't forget, winning is something, finishing is everything!
