2016 Kickstarters Gascoyne Dash

It is with great sorrow that the Gascoyne Off Road Racing Club wishes to inform you that due to low confirmed entries the 2016 Kickstarters Gascoyne Dash will not be held as it is not economically viable.

This decision has not been made lightly, however it does give the committee the opportunity to reinvigorate the event.

All entry fees that have been paid will be reimbursed in full. Deb will be in touch to get your bank details and confirm the amounts paid.

Rest assured that this is not the end of the Gascoyne Dash and we will have exciting news for everyone in the near future.

The Gascoyne Off Road Racing Club would like to thank everyone for their support and we look forward to growing the relationship in the years to come.

The ADVENTURE continues!

Expressions of Interest - Who's Racing the 2012 Dash?

Posted on 19.02.2012

The Gascoyne Offroad Racing Club has confirmed the dates for the 2012 Dash - 25th to 28th October 2012. The big news is the event will follow the "traditional" Dash course in 2012 after a flood shortened 2011 race.

Event Director Paul Kelly explained the change "The 2011 Dash was shortened due to extensive track damage and inability to access the flooded Gascoyne River so we were forced to conduct the event around the Day One track twice. It is clearly apparent from competitor feedback that many did not compete in 2011 as they did not want to race the same track twice and even more clearly everyone wants the river section.

A survey was conducted in 2011 and the respondents wanted between 50 and 100 kilometres of river. Therefore in 2012 we are back to the traditional Dash format, 185 kms around Bidgemia Station and 300 kms including the Gascoyne River to finish Day Two at Carnarvon Race Club. The popular prologue section will remain at Carnarvon Race Club on Friday".

Mr Kelly is seeking expressions of interest from 2012 competitors "We wish to start early planning in 2012 to ensure our competitors the best experience for their dollar. The entry fee in 2012 is unchanged at $700".
