2016 Kickstarters Gascoyne Dash

It is with great sorrow that the Gascoyne Off Road Racing Club wishes to inform you that due to low confirmed entries the 2016 Kickstarters Gascoyne Dash will not be held as it is not economically viable.

This decision has not been made lightly, however it does give the committee the opportunity to reinvigorate the event.

All entry fees that have been paid will be reimbursed in full. Deb will be in touch to get your bank details and confirm the amounts paid.

Rest assured that this is not the end of the Gascoyne Dash and we will have exciting news for everyone in the near future.

The Gascoyne Off Road Racing Club would like to thank everyone for their support and we look forward to growing the relationship in the years to come.

The ADVENTURE continues!

Work on new track section completed

Posted on 12.08.2012

A new track section and new fuel point were completed on Doorawarrah Station this weekend.

Doorawarrah is now the exit point from the Gascoyne River section of the Dash. The fuel/hot point is approximately 1.5kms from the river exit and is located in a good sized clay pan. The Fuel point needs to be large to accommodate the car field’s need to re inflate tyres after the Gascoyne River section.

Event Director Paul Kelly explained this fuel/hot point “Doorawarrah fuel/hot point is very important as we need to get the car field tyre inflation needs done in quick time. We will be employing a large mobile compressor and multiple air lines to ensure this will be a quick stop for competitors.”

The next stop after Doorawarrah is the large regrouping area at the Rocky Pool East fuel/hot point.

In all around 16 kms of track was pushed in over the weekend. Mr Kelly explained the new track section is tight and technical before opening up into a long station track run through to Rocky Pool East.

The Gascoyne Offroad Racing Club thanks Junction Contracting Services and Doorawarrah Station for use of machinery, planes and manpower.
