2016 Kickstarters Gascoyne Dash

It is with great sorrow that the Gascoyne Off Road Racing Club wishes to inform you that due to low confirmed entries the 2016 Kickstarters Gascoyne Dash will not be held as it is not economically viable.

This decision has not been made lightly, however it does give the committee the opportunity to reinvigorate the event.

All entry fees that have been paid will be reimbursed in full. Deb will be in touch to get your bank details and confirm the amounts paid.

Rest assured that this is not the end of the Gascoyne Dash and we will have exciting news for everyone in the near future.

The Gascoyne Off Road Racing Club would like to thank everyone for their support and we look forward to growing the relationship in the years to come.

The ADVENTURE continues!

2011 Dash Results - Breaking News

Event Management reviewed the 2011 Kickstarters Gascoyne Dash results early this morning. Comparison of time penalties and credits applied revealed an error in the application of a time plenty to OBR car #13. The time penalty for the stop sign infringement, as decided by the Club’s Disciplinary Committee at 5.00 pm on Sunday 30th October, was 20 minutes; the penalty had been recorded as 30 minutes.

The correct results for the 2011 Kickstarters Gascoyne Dash – Car Division are;
1st Travis Robinson/Paul Currie - OBR #13
2nd Andrew Kittle/Matthew Kittle Peter Kittle - Motorsports # 14
3rd Ken Styles/Josh Ellis

Event Director Paul Kelly takes full responsibility for the error. Mr Kelly has spoken with the three teams affected and thanks them very much for their understanding and patience. Mr Kelly commented on the change “Unfortunately the decision was not communicated fully and the results were not checked by me prior to the presentations. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Travis Robinson for his highly professional manner during the course of several discussions over the last few days. I’d also like to acknowledge Peter Kittle's understanding and his offer of advice regarding several key procedural matters for future events”.

Revised provisional times for cars and overall will be posted as soon as possible and we will advise through Facebook and an eNewsletter to subscribers.

Mr Kelly also acknowledged the contribution of the event volunteers “Our volunteer team did an excellent job in 2011, most have no background in motorsport activities but all were willing to try their best – we cannot ask for more. I am sure our competitors genuinely appreciate their efforts and can accept everything will not always be perfect. The Club and management are committed to making improvements where ever possible and I am sure everyone saw improvements in 2011; particularly in the area of on time starts and the final presentations”
