2016 Kickstarters Gascoyne Dash

It is with great sorrow that the Gascoyne Off Road Racing Club wishes to inform you that due to low confirmed entries the 2016 Kickstarters Gascoyne Dash will not be held as it is not economically viable.

This decision has not been made lightly, however it does give the committee the opportunity to reinvigorate the event.

All entry fees that have been paid will be reimbursed in full. Deb will be in touch to get your bank details and confirm the amounts paid.

Rest assured that this is not the end of the Gascoyne Dash and we will have exciting news for everyone in the near future.

The Gascoyne Off Road Racing Club would like to thank everyone for their support and we look forward to growing the relationship in the years to come.

The ADVENTURE continues!

Kirk Williams - 2010 Hyden 300 Iron Man

Posted on 21.09.2010

Local quad ace and past Dash class winner Kirk "Winkie" Williams has won the 2010 Hyden 300 Iron Man

The Hyden 300 Iron Man is exclusively a quad event and attracted 104 entries. The event is conducted at Smithy's Place just out of Hyden WA. This property is very well known to our car competitors as it is the home of the Hyden 450 - a round of the Australian Offroad Championships and the state event - Hyden Humps,

Kirk had problems in prologue which saw him back in the field but from the start pushed hard and made around a minute a lap on the leaders. Given the track is only 30 kms Kirk was setting a cracking pace and one regular Dash competitor Ivan Abreau said "Winkie went past me on a hard corner with only one wheel on the ground, man it was like I was stopped". Ivan went onto a credible 6th outright and is keen to continue this form in the 2010 Dash.

Congratulations Winkie on a great effort and expect to see him on the podium at the 2010 Dash.
