2016 Kickstarters Gascoyne Dash

It is with great sorrow that the Gascoyne Off Road Racing Club wishes to inform you that due to low confirmed entries the 2016 Kickstarters Gascoyne Dash will not be held as it is not economically viable.

This decision has not been made lightly, however it does give the committee the opportunity to reinvigorate the event.

All entry fees that have been paid will be reimbursed in full. Deb will be in touch to get your bank details and confirm the amounts paid.

Rest assured that this is not the end of the Gascoyne Dash and we will have exciting news for everyone in the near future.

The Gascoyne Off Road Racing Club would like to thank everyone for their support and we look forward to growing the relationship in the years to come.

The ADVENTURE continues!

Thanks to our 2012 Volunteers

Well the 2012 Dash has been run and won. Planning for the 2013 event is underway.

The 2012 event had a number of significant changes;
• Back to the "traditional" Dash track after a shortened 2011 event due to flood impacts
• Catering outsourced
• 22 members of the Western Patrol Club assisted with recovery and sweeps
• Bikes finished in with the cars
• Timing results were managed remotely (late change)
• Race Command management changed

The feedback from competitors, officials, spectators, sponsors and volunteers has been excellent.

Without you, our volunteers, this Dash event could not be delivered. Words cannot adequately describe the thanks and depth of pride I have leading and working with each of you. Please accept my simple thank you.

We will shortly announce a date for the 2012 de brief and social get together. The ongoing success of the event is built on lessons learnt and the de brief is a very important element of planning. I also recommend you email us details of things we did well and feedback (and possible solutions) on things we need to improve.

We look forward to your involvement in 2013.

Remember with have the Sign Pulling event this coming weekend; this is a unique experience in the Gascoyne River.
